Over the past two years, working with Jon has been nothing short of transformative for me as an athlete. When I first started, I couldn’t swim more than 1500 meters, had never ridden a road bike, and my running experience was limited to just two marathons. Fast forward to now, and I’ve completed Ironman Wales, one of the most challenging courses out there, and I was on track to finish Ironman Barcelona in under 12 hours before an unfortunate injury forced me to pull out during the run.

Jon has been the driving force behind this incredible journey. His expertise, encouragement, and ability to tailor training plans to my needs and goals have been remarkable. He broke down what seemed like an insurmountable task into manageable steps, helping me build confidence in each discipline of triathlon.

Swimming went from being my weakest discipline to a strength, thanks to his technical guidance and structured sessions. On the bike, Jon helped me develop the endurance and power necessary for long-distance events, starting from absolute scratch. His run training plans balanced performance with injury prevention—even though I faced setbacks, his support and adjustments kept me motivated and progressing.

Beyond the physical training, Jon has been a mentor in mindset and preparation. He taught me how to stay focused, adapt to challenges, and trust the process. The camaraderie and dedication he brings to coaching have made this journey not only successful but also incredibly enjoyable.

Unfortunately, we have had to part ways, but I cannot recommend him enough. If you’re looking for a coach who can turn ambitious goals into achievable realities, I couldn’t recommend Jon more highly. He’s had a profound impact on my triathlon journey, and I’m excited to see how others thrive under his guidance.

This was an area where I felt like Jon really added value. His video analysis was incredibly helpful, identifying a number of areas for improvement and then prescribing a series of drills to work on them. We trained at a fantastic 50m facility and also had the opportunity to do a few open water sea swims where Jon again offered a number of race tips based on his experience.

“This camp has seriously changed the way I see training and my body’s capabilities! Jon spotted swim technique flaws within seconds, was able to explain them comprehensively, and allowed me to gain 5s over 100m just with a single change! A great week training in paradise! Amazing facilities and food, well organised for you to focus on yourself, your training but also enjoy yourself and relax! The camp is very flexible to everyone needs and level of fitness. The early morning swim sessions are a great way to start the day. I already miss cycling in Mallorca, the routes are fantastic and Jon will make sure to pick the right cycling routes for you! He is really available to listen and answer all your questions. It’s been a huge training boost and learnt new things that have helped me getting ready for my ironman 70.3 objective, thanks!
